Thanks to Liru for the book "Be A People Person"

this book reli teach me how to understand human being more and what it means to be a leader. :P one phrase that reli imprinted in my mind is " He who thinketh he leadeth and hath no one following him is only taking a walk. " yeap its true and i always laugh over it because it would look really funny and idiotic if this really happens.

im only half way done with the book and liru told me to lend to mavis when im done. yeap she sure have more revelations than me i believe. :D one of the days when im reading on the train ride to work as usual, the words know exactly what u are going to accomplish caught my eye and i realise when successful ppl they have important goals set in this way. 1st step: decide what we want, 2nd step: what we are willing to give up 3rd step: finally go for it. though it looks simple and read through it without a sweat, i know what i lack is reli considering what im willing to give up before heading for the goal. i know why my goals are unfulfiled. i finally know it.

1st Goal
i want to achieve my degree in nursing in 1st class honour in 2 years time.

what im willing to give up:
1) part of my quality time with my family n friends.
2) my quality sleep.
3) my complexion. :(

time is really the biggest factor that i must give it up for. i know its hard, but if God had given me this oppotunity to excel, i must really put my heart n soul to accomplish what i want in my life.

2nd Goal
Have a weekly 3 hour talk with God

what i am willing to give up:
1) quality sleep.
2) my complexion.
3) my time to study will be placed 2nd.
4) fellowship with my fellow friends n churchmates. (i really love to spend time with them, but things just got to be sacrifice to achieve the ultimate Goal.)

3rd Goal
know the characters of my sheep, tend them.

what i am willing to give up:
1) time with my other friends, my close friends.
2)time for meals.
3) time i spend alone. ( i really like to spend time alone just watching my dramas n slack the whole day)

this is really what i wanna achieve this year round with God's arm around my shoulder n facing everything with me, i will not be tempted to give up my goals becos i know what i am willing to give up to see these seeds grow. (cant wait to finish the book!!)

Prayer of the week: God i pray that Alvin will take a step of faith to put into action what he learnt. :D teach him perseverence and love in whatever setting where u place him. thank you.

hi ppl~ very long nv blog again, haiz.. quite some stuff happened in my classes actually, becos we have got 1 lecturer who doesnt reli know how to teach and she cannot answer our questions when we asked her, its already been 1 month. finally decided to write a letter to the CEO of the sch n get things back together asap. ytd was the day i got everyone to sign the petition for the lecturer. but we didnt hand up,becos suddenly she said that she is gg to give up this module to another lecurer. becos im the class rep, i got them to discuss after class of how to bring it up to her ,but on that day im sick, i cant rep them. so somebody else got to speak to her. haiz. dunno how it went becos im not there. hope its alright. after ytd lesson she didnt get to the type of teaching. but we respect her, endured till the end of the lesson.

i feel that the whole incident is not handled properly and we might have hurt her in a way or another, but either u will hurt us or we will hurt u. im sorry ms S.A hope everything will be taken care of, for u. some ppl can be friends, but not in working relations, some ppl can do their best at work, but not as friends. good points of her: nice dress sense, building rapport, friendly, encouraging. bad point: unrelatable topics.
